  • We collect the information needed to sell, ship and support our products, plus limited technical and marketing data if you allow it.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money.
  • We share information with service providers that make the store work: Shopify (our ecommerce platform), payment processors, carriers, email services, analytics and advertising partners.
  • Depending on where you live, you have specific rights over your data (access, deletion, correction, portability, objection, opt-out). Section 9 explains how to use them.
  • Questions or requests: hello@uskoo-outdoors.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

  • Order and account data: name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number, order contents and history, currency and language.
  • Payment-related data: the payment method type and the last digits/brand of a card, plus transaction identifiers returned by the payment provider. Full card numbers are entered on infrastructure operated by our payment providers and are not stored by us.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, contact forms, chat, social media, review platforms or messaging apps, including any order number, photos or attachments you include.
  • Reviews and content: reviews, ratings, photos, videos and other content you submit or that you give us permission to use.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you subscribed to emails or SMS, and your consent/opt-out history.
  • Support and returns data: the reason for a return, replacement or warranty claim, and any proof-of-purchase or defect photos you send.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you browse the Site, we and our service providers collect: IP address and approximate location derived from it (country/city level), device type, operating system, browser and language, referring page and campaign parameters, pages viewed, time on page, cart and checkout activity, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies (see Section 6).

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Payment and fraud providers (payment status, fraud/risk signals, chargeback information).
  • Shipping carriers and logistics partners (delivery status, address validation, failed-delivery and customs events).
  • Advertising and analytics providers (aggregated or pseudonymous data about the effectiveness of our ads, subject to your consent choices).
  • Platforms you use to reach us, such as social media or marketplace messaging tools, if you contact us there.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (see Section 11).

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  1. Process, fulfil and deliver orders, including customs documentation.
  2. Take payment, prevent fraud, and handle chargebacks and disputes.
  3. Provide customer support, process returns, replacements and warranty claims.
  4. Send transactional messages: order confirmations, shipping updates, delivery issues, refund confirmations.
  5. Send marketing messages where you have opted in or where the law allows it, with an unsubscribe option in every message.
  6. Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Site (including diagnosing faults and preventing abuse).
  7. Measure and optimise our marketing and advertising, including through advertising platforms and conversion measurement.
  8. Comply with legal, tax, accounting and consumer-protection obligations, and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human review.

4. How we share information

We share personal information with:

  • Shopify Inc.: the ecommerce platform hosting the store, order processing and payment infrastructure.
  • Payment providers and fraud-screening services: to authorise payments and reduce fraud risk.
  • Shipping carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers: to deliver orders and clear customs.
  • Communication service providers: email, SMS and support-desk tools.
  • Analytics, advertising and measurement partners: to understand traffic and measure campaigns, only in line with your consent choices.
  • IT, hosting, security and professional advisers: where necessary to run our business.
  • Authorities and third parties: where required by law, court order, customs or tax rules, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
  • Buyers or successors: if we sell or reorganise all or part of our business, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some use of advertising and analytics identifiers can be considered a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under certain US state laws; see Section 9.3 for how to opt out.

5. International transfers

We are based in the United States and use service providers in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the UK Addendum, together with technical and organisational safeguards. You may ask us for details of the safeguards used.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies for:

  • Strictly necessary functions: cart, checkout, session, security and load balancing. The Site cannot work without these.
  • Functional/personalisation: remembering language, currency or preferences.
  • Analytics: understanding how visitors use the Site and where they come from.
  • Marketing: measuring and targeting advertising on platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok or similar, where you have consented.

Where required, we show a consent banner before setting non-essential cookies and allow you to refuse or customise them. You can also control cookies through your browser settings and delete existing ones; blocking strictly necessary cookies may break checkout. The Site honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing where applicable law requires it.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

  • Order, payment and tax records: kept for the period required by applicable tax, accounting and consumer law (typically up to 7 years in the United States, and as required in the EU/UK).
  • Support, return and warranty records: kept for the duration of the warranty period and for as long as needed to handle related claims.
  • Marketing contact data: kept until you unsubscribe or object, then suppressed on a minimum opt-out list.
  • Cookies and analytics identifiers: kept for the periods described in the consent banner; consent records are kept as proof of compliance.
  • Fraud-prevention records: kept as long as needed to protect the store, including chargeback and abuse evidence.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls limited to personnel and providers who need access, and reliance on payment providers that are PCI-DSS compliant for card processing. We also work with providers that apply their own security programmes.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we may need to contact you if a breach affecting your rights occurs, as required by law.

9. Your rights

9.1 EEA, UK and Switzerland

You have the right to: access your personal information; correct inaccurate data; delete data; restrict processing; object to processing based on legitimate interests (including direct marketing); receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9.2 California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; access a copy; delete; correct; limit the use of sensitive personal information; opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

9.3 Other US states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and others as they take effect) have similar rights, including access, deletion, correction, portability and opt-out of targeted advertising or sale. You may also appeal a refusal by replying to our response.

9.4 How to exercise your rights

Email hello@uskoo-outdoors.com from the address associated with your order, or state your request and order number. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity; we will not ask for more than necessary. An authorised agent may submit a request where the law allows it, with proof of authorisation.

We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (normally 30 days, extendable to 45 days under the CCPA/CPRA where permitted), and we will tell you if we cannot fully comply and why.

10. Marketing

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and from SMS by replying STOP (or the keyword stated in the message). You can also email us at hello@uskoo-outdoors.com. Transactional messages about your order, delivery, returns and warranty are not marketing and continue as long as needed to complete your order.

11. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it. The AirFlex Sleeping Pad is not a toy and is not intended for unsupervised use by children.

12. Third-party links and tools

The Site may link to third-party sites or embed third-party tools (payment wallets, review widgets, social plugins, analytics). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. This Privacy Policy does not cover them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and material changes will be communicated on the Site or by email where required. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
